Job Overview
The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) is seeking qualified and experienced IT Specialists to join its technical team in Islamabad. This is a permanent position under the BPS-16 scale with attractive remuneration and benefits. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure of this prestigious medical institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure across CPSP offices
- Provide technical support to staff and faculty members for hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, printers, and other peripherals
- Ensure data security and implement backup procedures for critical institutional data
- Maintain and update the CPSP website and internal portal systems
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment
- Provide training to staff on new software applications and IT best practices
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades
- Prepare technical documentation and user manuals
- Handle IT-related procurement and inventory management
- Assist in IT audit and compliance activities
- Provide after-hours support during critical system maintenance or emergencies
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Pakistani nationals only
- Age Limit: 25-35 years (with 5 years relaxation for government employees)
- Gender: Male and female candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in IT support or related field
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to handle hardware installations
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized university
- Certification: Relevant IT certifications (CCNA, MCSE, A+) will be preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with database management systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills in English and Urdu
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Time management and organizational skills
- Customer service orientation
Job Location and Working Conditions
The position is based at the CPSP headquarters in Islamabad. The role may require occasional travel to regional offices and examination centers across Pakistan. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required during system upgrades or emergencies.
Benefits and Compensation
The selected candidates will receive a competitive salary package in the range of PKR 50,000 to 100,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include:
