Job Overview
The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) is seeking qualified and experienced Medical Officers for various positions at BPS-18. This is an excellent opportunity for medical professionals to serve in a prestigious medical institution in Islamabad. The selected candidates will be responsible for providing medical care, conducting health assessments, and contributing to the overall healthcare delivery system at CPSP.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Conduct routine medical examinations and health assessments
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on medical conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Participate in medical research and clinical trials as required
- Provide emergency medical care when needed
- Educate patients about preventive healthcare measures
- Attend medical conferences and workshops to stay updated with latest medical advancements
- Supervise junior medical staff and provide mentorship
- Ensure compliance with medical ethics and professional standards

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be Pakistani citizens
- Must possess a valid PMDC registration
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in relevant field
- Good character and no criminal record
- Must be medically fit to perform duties
- Age limit between 25-45 years (relaxable for deserving candidates)
- Willingness to work in Islamabad
- Ability to work in a team environment
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college/university
- Valid PMDC registration certificate
- Postgraduate degree (FCPS/MD/MS/DOMS/DCH/DGO) preferred
- Computer literacy with MS Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills in English and Urdu
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of medical ethics and professional conduct
- Familiarity with medical documentation and record-keeping
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical practice
- Experience in teaching or research preferred
- Experience in hospital administration is an advantage
- Experience in handling emergency cases
- Experience in medical documentation and record management
Salary and Benefits
- Pay Scale: BPS-18
- Monthly Salary: PKR 50,000 – 100,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
