Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research in agricultural biotechnology, including genetic engineering, molecular biology, and plant tissue culture

- Analyze experimental data using statistical software and prepare comprehensive research reports
- Supervise laboratory operations, including maintenance of equipment and supplies

- Provide technical guidance to junior researchers and laboratory assistants
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Present research findings at national and international conferences
- Assist in grant writing and project proposal development

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant research experience in agricultural biotechnology or related fields
- Proven track record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with modern biotechnological techniques and laboratory equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu
- Willingness to work in laboratory settings and conduct field trials
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Sciences, or related field from a recognized university
- MS/MPhil degree with extensive research experience may be considered
- Strong background in molecular techniques (PCR, qPCR, gene cloning, etc.)
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and data analysis software
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety regulations
- Publication record in reputed scientific journals
- Experience with grant writing and project management
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 25 to 35 years of age as of the closing date. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for candidates from marginalized communities, females, and those with disabilities.
Salary and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary in the range of PKR 50,000 to PKR 100,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include:
