Job Overview
The Nadara is seeking highly qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Assistant Director BPS-17. This is a key administrative and management role that requires individuals with strong leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and extensive experience in public sector administration. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing various departmental functions, implementing policies, and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise departmental operations and staff under the assigned jurisdiction
- Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures in line with organizational objectives
- Prepare reports, proposals, and recommendations for senior management
- Coordinate with other departments and external agencies for effective service delivery
- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance against set targets and KPIs
- Handle sensitive files, confidential documents, and official correspondence
- Conduct field visits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and official delegations as required
- Manage budget allocations and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources
- Address public grievances and ensure timely resolution of complaints
- Maintain liaison with provincial/district authorities and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with government rules, regulations, and policies
- Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to higher authorities
- Handle emergency situations and crisis management as needed
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Pakistani citizen
- Age between 25-35 years (relaxable for government employees and special cases)
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in public sector administration
- Excellent command of English and Urdu languages (both written and spoken)
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office applications
- Good physical and mental health as per government medical standards
- No criminal record or involvement in any disciplinary proceedings
- Willingness to work in any location within Pakistan if required
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or related field from HEC recognized university
- Minimum second division throughout academic career
- Computer skills certification from recognized institution
- Professional development courses in management or administration (preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in previous roles
Experience Required
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in government departments, semi-government organizations, or reputable private sector institutions
- Experience in policy formulation and implementation
- Proven track record in team management and project coordination
- Familiarity with government procedures, rules, and regulations
- Experience in budget preparation and financial management
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations applicable to the department
